Working together with motivated, likeminded, diverse people creates a unique atmosphere that makes the project work fun and inspiring. Bachelor and Master students that do their project at REAL share a creative space that fosters collaboration and innovation. It is also a safe space to share, discuss, and try out new ideas on how to best explain what it is you are working on.

Lab spaces

  • REAL Zurich

    REAL Zurich is going to launch in February 2024. The lab is located at the ETH Zentrum campus in ETL on floor I.

    For now, we have one room for eight students, but as of fall 2024 we are looking forward to hosting more students in an additional room.

  • REAL Lausanne

    REAL Lausanne will launch in February 2025. The lab space will be located on the EPFL campus.

People

  • Academic supervisors

    Any researcher from an institution affiliated with the NCCR Automation is eligible to supervise projects at REAL. Visit the NCCR Automation website to see the full list of people involved.

  • Initiator and coordinator

    Claudia Fischer has a Dr. sc. in automatic control and almost a decade of experience working in industry.

    The one thing she loves more than control systems are intriguing stories and good presentations. That is why she started REAL.

Acknowledgements
